Course description
Active human economic activity has led to rapid global changes in the cycles of substances within the biosphere, which have developed over millennia. Climate change affects natural resources, including not only those determined purely by climatic conditions but also resources whose state is partially influenced by the climate. Considering climatically dependent natural resources has always been of great importance for sectors of the economy that are closely linked to weather and climate conditions. Scientific and technological progress, particularly the rapid growth of civilization’s energy capacity, gives rise to numerous challenges that require careful assessment, analysis, and detailed study. This situation underscores the necessity of systematic observation, research, analysis, and forecasting of changes in climatically dependent natural resources in the context of climate change.
