Course description
The course “Fundamentals of Global Climate Dynamics and Modelling” is offered as part of the Professional Development Programme “Climate Change”.
Course Aim: to foster in participants systematic knowledge of the external and internal mechanisms governing the functioning of the climate system, the interactions among its components (atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, biosphere), and the triggers that induce climate change. Special emphasis is placed on anthropogenic forcing of the climate system and the consequent feedback impacts of climate change on socio-economic life, public health, infrastructure, energy systems, transport, agriculture, and water resources.
The course is designed to facilitate the training of qualified professionals capable of applying the acquired knowledge across diverse fields of professional activity. Participants will acquire the theoretical foundations of climate science necessary for the establishment, development, and continuous enhancement of the climate service system in Ukraine.
