Course description
Climate communication skills relate to the abilities required for effectively conveying information about climate science, its impacts, and solutions to a diverse audience. These skills include translating complex scientific data into accessible language, combating misinformation, and promoting productive dialogue regarding climate action. The assessment of the nature of climate communication is a new field of research, and innovative approaches are needed to create dynamic communication contexts that establish the social conditions necessary for climate action and political participation. Effective communication requires understanding the values and concerns of the audience, allowing communicators to tailor messages that resonate and encourage engagement.
The main goal of the course is to develop skills in communication strategies in the field of climate services for various consumers.
