Course description

The course “Climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies for different sectors of the economy of Ukraine” is one of the main parts of the professional cycle of disciplines for the preparation of masters in the “Climate services” program. The course will contribute to the development of analytical skills in the field of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies for any sector of the economy.

The course aims to develop students’ understanding of climate change processes, their causes and consequences, and to teach them how to develop and apply strategies for: mitigation (reduction of greenhouse gas emissions), adaptation (adaptation to existing climate change).
