Course description
The course “Economics of Climate Change: Case Studies and Best Practices” is one of the main parts of the professional cycle of disciplines for the preparation of masters in the program “Economics of Climate Change: Case Studies and Best Practices in a Selected Sector of the Economy”. The course is aimed at forming a holistic understanding of modern approaches to assessing the economic consequences of climate change at the global, national and regional levels. The course will contribute to the analysis of applied research and practical cases that reflect the impact of climate change on the functioning of key sectors of the economy – agriculture, water and forestry, energy, land use and spatial development of territories, as well as the formation of practical skills in analyzing climate-economic data, interpreting the results of scientific research and applying the knowledge gained in professional activities.
The goal of the course is to form a scientific vision of the economics of climate change, develop critical thinking and prepare specialists capable of making informed management decisions in the face of growing climate risks and uncertainty.
