Course description
The course “Climate Risk Assessment in Energy (using the example of a specific sub-sector in energy or geographical region)” is aimed at developing competencies in the field of climate risk assessment in energy, taking into account both climatic and socio-economic factors. Particular attention is paid to the transition from general risk assessment to the development of practically oriented adaptation strategies to ensure the sustainability of energy systems.
Course objective. To develop in students the ability to conduct a comprehensive, scientifically based assessment of climate risks and vulnerabilities of energy systems, taking into account climatic, technical, and socio-economic factors, as well as to develop effective, practically oriented adaptation strategies aimed at increasing the resilience, reliability, and sustainable development of the energy sector.
