ClimEd Network

The ClimEd Network is a professional online community created within the ClimEd Scientific and Educational Platform to support communication, knowledge exchange, and continued cooperation among project participants. It brings together teachers, students, PhD candidates, researchers, experts, course participants, representatives of universities, public authorities, local communities, businesses, non-governmental organisations, and professionals working in climate-sensitive sectors.

Network members can create and complete professional profiles containing information about their areas of expertise, institutional affiliation, experience, research and educational interests, participation in courses, and potential fields of cooperation. This helps users identify colleagues and experts with shared professional interests, establish thematic contacts, and develop interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Network supports the creation of thematic groups and professional communities, the publication of news, materials, and announcements, discussion of current issues, exchange of experience, and dissemination of project results. Separate groups may be used for interaction between teachers and course participants, support for student and PhD research, cooperation among partner universities, and professional communication in the fields of climate services, climate change adaptation, agriculture, water management, energy, urban development, construction, health care, and risk management.

During the delivery of ClimEd courses, the Network complements the Moodle learning platform by providing informal communication, learner support, discussion of practical issues, and continuation of professional contacts after the completion of training. Participants can share materials, announce new educational and research opportunities, discuss research findings, and form teams for joint initiatives.

The Network also contributes to the long-term use of ClimEd results after the project ends. It supports the exchange of learning materials, course updates, inter-university cooperation, joint teaching, dissemination of good practices, and the preparation of new educational, research, and project initiatives.

Registered users can invite new members to join the Network. After receiving a personal invitation, a new user can register, complete a professional profile, and participate in the activities of the ClimEd community.
