Final Meeting on ClimEd ERASMUS+ CBHE Project in Helsinki

From 11 to 13 May 2026, the final meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE project ClimEd – “Multilevel Climate Education and Training in Climate Services, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation” took place in Helsinki, Finland, at the Finnish Meteorological Institute of the University of Helsinki.
The three-day event brought together representatives of partner universities and institutions from Ukraine and the European Union to summarize the results of the project, discuss its long-term sustainability and coordinate the final reporting stage. During the meeting, the results of implementation of all ClimEd work packages were presented and discussed, including development and piloting of climate-related courses, staff training, research-and-education infrastructure, dissemination, quality assurance and project management.
Special attention was devoted to the impact of the project on higher education and climate services in Ukraine. During the meeting, partners presented institutional success stories, discussed future exploitation of ClimEd results and outlined mechanisms for continued implementation of developed courses and professional training modules after the project completion.
A separate session focused on regional cooperation, sustainability and future partnerships, as well as on the integration of ClimEd outcomes into educational strategies and climate-related policy development. Participants also discussed future joint initiatives and opportunities for expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and European institutions.
