Course description

The course aims to develop a systematic understanding of the interrelationship between global megatrends, climate change, and the transformation of urban systems in the context of implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The course examines contemporary approaches to integrating climate policy into urban governance, assessing the risks and vulnerabilities of urban systems, and innovative strategies for urban adaptation and transformation. Particular attention is paid to practical mechanisms for enhancing the climate resilience of cities, developing nature-based solutions, and implementing concepts of sustainable and climate-oriented urban development.
