Course description

The course “Climate Risk Assessment in Health (using the example of a specific sub-field in the field of health or geographical region)” is aimed at developing competencies in the field of assessing climate risks to public health, taking into account biological, ecological, climatic and socio-economic factors. Particular attention is paid to the transition from a general understanding of climate-related threats to practically oriented risk assessment, forecasting and development of adaptation measures for the system.

The goal of the course is to develop knowledge and practical skills in analyzing the impact of climate and global changes on infectious diseases, assessing climate risks and vulnerabilities in the healthcare system, and developing scientifically based adaptation measures to reduce risks to public health.
