Course description

The course “Management of Climate Services in Ukraine” is one of the main parts of the professional cycle of disciplines for the preparation of PhD in the program “Climate Services”. The course is aimed at developing knowledge and skills in the management of climate services in Ukraine, including institutional, political and practical aspects of their development, implementation and use. The course examines the principles of functioning of climate services, international and national approaches to their development, as well as mechanisms of interaction between scientific institutions, government bodies, business and other users of climate information.

Course goal: To provide students with a systematic understanding of the principles of functioning and development of climate services, as well as the ability to effectively manage their creation, implementation and use in Ukraine, taking into account institutional, political and practical aspects, ensuring interaction between scientific institutions, government bodies, business and users of climate information to support informed decision-making.
